Newborn or One Size: Battle of the Diapers
Can a diaper really get you from birth to potty training?
Possibly, but you'd likely benefit from a few months of newborn diapers until your babe really fits into one size (OS) diapers. There are always exceptions, but after seeing the size difference I was sold on the necessity of newborn cloth.
These two dolls are the exact same size. The doll on the left is wearing a GroVia O.N.E. snapped to the smallest setting and using the optional hook and loop at the waist. The doll on the right is wearing a GroVia Newborn All In One (AIO) with the rise fully unsnapped. As you can see, there is quite a difference in the two. While there are plenty of babies who may fit into one size diapers at birth, there are also plenty who can use newborn diapers for 3-4 months with ease. Not only is the Newborn AIO smaller overall, but it is so much trimmer to fit under those tiny newborn clothes. Even if an additional absorbency booster is needed, the newborn will help you get a trim fit that will allow you maximize the use of your newborn size clothes. Win-win situation!
